Engaging visitors is not an easy task, each and every single user has a different need, and by having a wide array of content those needs can be satisfied. Even if most of them don't convert, the more time they spend on the site the easier it is to measure their behaviors. Content marketing varies, some visitors need ideas while others need answers.
How are you measuring and testing your content?
Different channels and campaigns operate as different conversion points.
With every data and path point taken by visitors it's hard to pick an attribution model. It requires keen observation and behavior studies to identify which channels budgets should be increased.
